The Visual Communication Design Study Programme of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara is an established learning space for you who are eager to learn about how design communicates and impacts people’s lives through experience enhancement, new media, and technology approaches. We offer two future-oriented majors, Visual Brand Design (VBD) which specialized in brand visuals, communication, and strategy, also Interaction Design (ID) which focused on interactive and immersive media. With the lifelong learning concept, we are ready to assist you to embark on your journey!

Our Majors

Visual Communication Design Universitas Multimedia Nusantara is the only study program in Indonesia that offers future-oriented majors which are Visual Brand Design and Interaction Design. These majors emphasize the use of modern technology, interactivity, and innovation. Our majors also explore various media ranging from print-based to digital-based for the purpose of creating graduates that are competitive in the global industry.

Overview

Produce creative and innovative graduates with an Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT)-based design approach to solve environmental and building problems and improve the quality of a sustainable building environment.

Interactive Design (ID)

Overview

Learning about interaction design includes games in 2D and 3D screen (digital) interactivity media as well as non-screen (conventional). The Interaction Design major also develops an art-science framework in the practice of interactive media development in the arts and design fields.

Interaction Design major educates students to be able to analyze, design, and implement interactivity through conceptual, collaborative, creative, and innovative visual interaction design with social, cultural, economic, and technological considerations.

At UMN, I was always trained to be able to be involved in the professional world. During lectures, lecturers often provide actual case studies in the world of work. The ability to communicate and complete tasks in a structured manner is what I feel the most during my career. I also served as Chairman of the Association for two periods, this experience was advantageous to improving my soft skills, so I have a competitive advantage and more experience.

The Architecture Study Program’s up-to-date curriculum generates good capital for graduates to be ready to work. One of them is Building Information Modeling technology, which is not necessarily available on other campuses. Green architecture is also an attraction offered by this study program. The facilities provided are complete, including a studio, 3D printer, laser cutting, etc. Many lectures, such as Inner Baduy, TMII, and Singapore, are conducted off-campus to maximize learning.
